Induced homomorphism: Kirchhoff’s law in photonics

چکیده
Abstract When solving, modeling or reasoning about complex problems, it is usually convenient to use the knowledge of a parallel physical system for representing it. This case lumped-circuit abstraction, which can be used mechanical and acoustic systems, thermal heat-diffusion problems in general partial differential equations. Integrated photonic platforms hold prospective perform signal processing analog computing inherently, by mapping into hardware specific operations relies on wave-nature their signals, without trusting logic gates digital states like electronics. Here, we argue that absence straightforward parallelism homomorphism induced. We introduce platform capable mimicking Kirchhoff’s law photonics as node finite difference mesh solving equation using monochromatic light telecommunication wavelength. Our approach experimentally demonstrates an arbitrary set boundary conditions, generating one-shot discrete solution Laplace equation, with accuracy above 95% respect commercial solvers. engine provide route achieve chip-scale, fast (10 s ps), integrable reprogrammable accelerators next generation hybrid high-performance computing. Summary A integrated mimic approximately solve equations noniteratively light, high throughput low-energy levels.

متن کاملHomomorphism Extension
We define the Homomorphism Extension (HomExt) problem: given a group G, a subgroup M ≤ G and a homomorphism φ : M → H , decide whether or not there exists a homomorphism φ̃ : G → H extending φ, i.e., φ̃|M = φ. This problem arose in the context of list-decoding homomorphism codes but is also of independent interest, both as a problem in computational group theory and as a new and natural problem i...
متن کاملOpportunities in microstructured photonics
Diffractive optical elements are components relying on the physical phenomena of diffraction and interference to control the propagation of light. Such elements are usually macroscopically planar microstructures, consisting of features with dimensions from a couple of wavelengths to a few tens of microns and being designed by advanced numerical algorithms based on rigorous diffraction theory. T...
متن کاملHomomorphism-Homogeneous Relational Structures
We study relational structures (especially graphs and posets) which satisfy the analogue of homogeneity but for homomorphisms rather than isomorphisms. The picture is rather different. Our main results are partial characterisations of countable graphs and posets with this property; an analogue of Fraı̈ssé’s Theorem; and representations of monoids as endomorphism monoids of such structures. ∗This...
